Your first step is to call our office to schedule your initial appointment. We will ask you to provide some basic information about yourself to help us better evaluate your needs. You may then be scheduled for your first session with us. You should plan to spend approximately 90 minutes with a therapist to talk about your current situation and how counseling can help. We will also share information with you about our services, fees, and what to expect in therapy. We want to develop a relationship with you, so, together, we will decide what type of treatment would be best for you.
At the end of that first session, if we decide that it is in your best interest to move forward in therapy, you will choose an ideal time slot for your ongoing therapy sessions. We typically recommend meeting with your therapist one to two times per week. Each session will last approximately 55 minutes.
